My Experience:-

In my journey through hackathons, I've had the privilege of participating in various exciting events that have enriched my skills and provided invaluable learning experiences. One notable highlight was the SmartOdishaHackathon’22, organized by the government of Odisha. This offline hackathon took place in OUTR Bhubaneswar and spanned an intense 36 hours.

The hackathon involved rigorous rounds of evaluation where the jury scrutinized our project ideas and implementation. Their feedback was constructive, offering suggestions to enhance user-friendliness and add more features. Although our team didn't secure the top spot, the experience was invaluable, especially for a first-time participant like myself.

Moving into my second year, I had the opportunity to engage in an all-India-level GIS Hackathon organized by IIIT Hyderabad and partnered with Microsoft and AICTE. This online hackathon featured five rounds of evaluation, culminating in our team securing a coveted spot in the top 5 nationwide during the final round.

The momentum continued into my third year, where I participated in another all-India-level hackathon organized by the IEEE-India council. The initial phases were conducted online, and our team successfully navigated through the competition. The grand finale, held at Manipal University Jaipur, witnessed fierce competition from over 100 teams representing colleges across India. In a gratifying turn of events, our team clinched the third position, earning a cash award of 5000 INR and a certificate of appreciation from the IEEE India Council.

Overall, my hackathon journey throughout my B. Tech years have been marked by growth, collaboration, and recognition. These experiences have not only honed my technical skills but also instilled a sense of resilience and determination to excel in the dynamic world of hackathons.
